Here we go. I am moving over to this blogging service because the Edublog was a new service we are trying to work with but there is some complication as they set up our account. Instead of getting involved with trying to fix all of that we are going to go with Blogger.com for this trip as we have with many others.
Here is the deal. The Cedaredge group is FANTASTICO!!! We are enjoying everyone and from the looks I think they are having a good time also. We did the rappel, arrived to the homestays, planted some trees and made friendships with many locals from the village that I know will last for quite some time. The weather has been great. It actually started raining when we left the area where we were planting trees.
We are trying to make this trip as educational as possible for the kids with our focus being Spanish, caring for the environment, and finding happiness in the small things in life. Being here in the village has allowed us to touch on all of these areas of the trip making it what we think as a company the most important 2 days the kids will have.
Before we planted the trees we talked to the kids about the area of the tropics and how Costa Rica has 25% of it's land protected. We are just getting started and we will keep you posted. Don't forget the 200ft Costa Rica waterfall rappel video below.
